Nassau County Police are now saying the incident at a McDonald's on Long Island described in the original report below has been deemed a hoax.

Original report:

Three suspects are on the loose after a man was assaulted and possibly kidnapped at a McDonald's on Long Island.

It happened in Hempstead on Monday, Jan. 20 just after 8 p.m., Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, a 50-year-old male customer was at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 340 Peninsula Boulevard when he observed the first suspect follow the victim out into the parking lot at which time the second and third suspects stopped the victim, police said.

All three suspects began to punch and kick the victim, police said.

The suspects then threw the victim to the ground and began stomping the victim’s head before throwing the victim into the trunk of a silver/gray four-door sedan, possibly a Nissan.

The vehicle had an unknown rear license plate and a missing front plate.

The customer then observed the vehicle drive away north on North Franklin Street with all 3 subjects and the victim inside the trunk.

The first suspect is described as being male, Hispanic, 5-foot-tall, with a slight build, long black hair/male bun, dark hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and white sneakers. (See first image above.)

Subjects two and three are described as being male, Hispanic and wearing dark clothing. (See second and third images above.)

The victim is described as being male, light-skinned black or Hispanic, 5-foot-10, medium build, with a red/white flannel shirt, blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. (See fourth and fifth images above.)
